Stealing is Lame
Before I share some of my favourite websites for digital products, what I want to do is encourage you to cross your Ts and dot your Is. Look at the licensing agreement to make sure you are allowed to use them for your own websites and designs. Using things that you don’t own, or did not create is against the law and I really want to encourage you to look into them before using these free branding resources for your own gain.
“You are your brand. Failure to share yourself in an open, honest way is a costly miscalculation. Who doesn’t want to be around someone who’s comfy in their own skin? On the contrary, who likes hanging around phonies?... Who were you as a carefree six year old, before the world taught you to play it safe and blend in with everyone else? Find yourself; be yourself; sell yourself.” - Fredrik Eklund

Creative Market
www.creativemarket.com is one of my absolute favourite places to get digital resources. Weekly, they send 6 free branding resources straight to your email and as soon as you choose to download it, you have lifetime access to it. Some popular goods are Fonts, decals, slide decks and mock ups. I love this for help with design and anything to do with my branding.
Creative Live
www.creativelive.com is my favourite educational resource. They stream classes live for free and have amazing sales on some wicked courses. If you want to brush up on copy that converts, flat lay photography skills, or even how to design a website from scratch, this is the place for you! Their classes are affordable and super helpful. If you’re up for it, they have a monthly subscription where you have access to all classes for a monthly fee. It’s totally worth checking them out.
Later.com
www.later.com is my all time favourite tool for scheduling social media content. You can do it for free for 30 posts a month OR you can pay to have multiple profiles and more posts as well as being able to schedule stories. My advice when uploading images to the media bank – give them detailed tags so you can find them later. If you’re anything like me, you have over 6k images in there. But I can quickly find exactly what I’m looking for because I tagged them as I went. This is the first free branding resource thatI recommend to clients. I even have a referral code that will save us both some money if you decide to sign up : https://later.com/r/5893af
Canva
www.canva.com is an amazing tool for customized images and content. You can make beautiful, branded content to share and do it for free. They have an awesome app that lets you do it from your phone. Of course, if you pay for it, you get less restrictions and more customization, but you can still make some amazing content straight from your phone for free using this app. I also have apaid plan for this app myself, and if you’re interested, you can sign up using this referral code for some money off : https://www.canva.com/join/shoes-dog-span
UnSplash
www.unsplash.com is a wonderful resource for stock imagery. Be aware that some images might need to get purchased for you to legally be allowed to use them. However, they have an amazing array of stock images available for free if you need them. I always encourage using your own images over stock photography, BUT i understand that is not always possible so this is a great resource.
I hope that this list can serve you in one way or another. Building a brand can be really difficult but these free branding resources have helped me get through and build my own brand.
